Shelley, Me and Wes

Shelley, born in Louisiana and raised in Texas, has been into creating songs since childhood. Shelley learned to read music and was a violinist for 8 years. She’s a self-taught bass and guitar player, as well as piano, of which she plays by ear and creates her own melodies by heart, since the age of 8 when her father bought a piano and planted it in the living room. Her childhood inspirations regarding music were Duran Duran, U2, Thompson Twins, The Beatles, as well as Mozart, Mendelssohn and Beethoven. Her motivation for writing music is to be what she calls, “The melody in your storm”. Shelley’s lyrics are based off of true experiences that helped her to overcome obstacles in life, and creates her pain and success through her music in hopes to create an ointment to heal others. Her music is more “God centered”, choosing to give God the glory for victory she has obtained throughout her life.

Steve and Shelley met at the McGregor/Mayweather fight on August 26, 2017, and they have been together ever since. They fell in-love and married a year later at the largest Harley Davidson Dealership in Vegas. They are very supportive of each others’ passion for music and often do recording back-up vocals for each other.

Steve, born in Denver, Colorado, has traveled and lived around the world. Since Steve was a child, he had a love and ability to write poetry and songs. At the age of 40, he taught himself how to play guitar. Later, he developed a hunger to learn the bass guitar and keyboards. Ever since, Steve started writing and recording music with a passion. Although, Pink Floyd is his biggest inspiration, Steve’s music has its own signature sound being unique with a vast taste of genre. Work occupies much of his time, desiring to be a full-time songwriter. It is his dream for him to land a song in the entertainment industry, such as movies.

Wes is from Southern Indiana. He’s played guitar since he was 13. He has traveled around the country playing with other musicians.  Wes is one of a kind and has a gifted ear and hand to be able to on-the-spot incorporate his own unique guitar heart and soul signature when collaborating with another artists’ music.  While Steve was residing in Albuquerque, NM, he put an ad in a local paper in 2016 for a lead guitarist (gun for hire). Wes was the first person to apply.  The chemistry between the two felt like they’ve been playing together for a lifetime. Although, they live in separate states now, they still collaborate regularly.

Igor started playing guitar in the late 80s. He was at first influenced by many bass guitar players like Stanley Clark or Marcus Miller and even Mark King from Level 42. Later, he transitioned into acoustic and electric guitar and was learning from John Mclaughlin, AL Dimeola and Alan Holdsworth. Little later he discovered Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. They influenced his playing tremendously.

He started learning the trade of the music producer. He started his first recording studio while still continued to study, play and learn.

He moved to USA from Macedonia where he was born and lived.

Igor met Steve Sanderson in Chicago and was instrumental in helping  him to build and taught him how to use the equipment for his studio. Through this they became the best of  friends. Steve being versed in construction helped Igor build his own studio. He showed Igor how to use construction tools and together they built the sound booth.

The trade was Igor teaching Steve about recording engineering and how to play guitar. They collaborated extensively, and made one album together. They worked together on many of his songs and Igor did the majority of the guitar solos.

Igor: Steve is very gifted and original artist with a very interesting voice and an enormous talent for great lyrics.
We try still to work together even though we are more than 1000 miles apart, but thanks to the modern technology we can continue out collaboration and make some great music.

They remain the best of friends! I am honored to have Igor as my brother and I love his family dearly.
